Energy conservation will immediately become a priority, as you don’t know if you’ll have power after the storm hits. It’s important to take the appropriate precautions in case you do lose power because electricity could take several days to be restored. Otherwise, you and your family could end up without any fresh food, water, or communication devices to get in touch with emergency services. In times like these, having a backup power source can be quite valuable.
